Stephen is an obstetrician-gynecologist at Kigali University Teaching hospital& Head of Clinical Research department at same institution.
He is a Senior lecturer and Head of department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at University of Rwanda, College of Medicine and Health Sciences.
Stephen is the Secretary General, Rwanda Society of Obstetrics & Gynecology (RSOG)
He is a former president of the Rwanda Medical Association (2009-2011)
He is a member of the University Research Council and other committees on education and training.
Stephen is a Global health leadership fellow at Yale University. His research interests include infectious diseases, reproductive health with special focus on improving pregnancy outcome.
Dr Rulisa has published several articles in peer reviewed journals.
