Aïcha is currently working at the Directorate of Laboratory services of the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare in Senegal; in charge of supervisions-evaluations of laboratories.
She is a microbiologist with over 10 years experience in the field of routine microbiology diagnostics; has vast knowledge of laboratory systems in West African countries due to active participation in supervisions, training, quality and routine testing in Senegal.
Dr Marceline is also a senior researcher of a NWO/WOTRO-funded project (SOCIALAB), which explores the socio-historical and cultural barriers limiting the contribution of laboratory test to antenatal care (ANC) in West Africa.
