David Roger Walugembe (BLIS, MPH) is a Research Fellow and Project Manager for the Knowledge Translation Network (KTNET) Africa Project under the Department of Health Policy Planning and Management (HPPM) at the Makerere University School of Public Health. Recently David graduated from Makerere University School of Public Health- Centers for Disease Control and Prevention two year fellowship program. He previously worked as a Communications Specialist with the USAID funded University Research Co.–Strengthening Uganda’s Systems for Treating HIV/AIDS Nationally (URC-SUSTAIN), Communications/Public Relations Officer with Uganda Virus Research Institute-International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (UVRI-IAVI) HIV Vaccine Programme, Information Scientist with the Ministry of Public Service and Customer Services Assistant with the British Council Uganda. He is passionate about research utilization, dissemination and translation of knowledge into policy and practice as an avenue for strengthening health services and systems.
